My name is Juliet & I am a Ugandan war victim. I founded “Ita & Friends Foundation” as I wanted to recognize the love and support I received from Ita & Kate in the 1980’s when they worked for Save the Children Fund (SCF), and then how their support continued through the years with their friends in the UK plus Hildegard and family from Germany. I want to help other Ugandan children, as I was helped, and I felt starting this charity organization was the best way to do it.
My mission is to help assist Uganda's rural children by enabling them to stay in education for as long as possible. This is ,however, very difficult when a lot of our rural children are continuing to go hungry – our children will learn better, stay healthier and cope with life’s difficulties better if they have food in their stomachs.
With this in mind i would like to raise funds as well as getting local factories to Contribute food freely in order to provide Children in Kamuli and Buzimba primary Schools of Kakiri Sub County with one good meal a day.
The funds raised will go towards providing the Children with Scholastic Materials (such as pens and Books) , Uniforms and Sanitary towels so that the Children do not miss out on daily School attendance.
With all the Children's needs met during the School day it is hoped they will flourish in education and grow into well rounded educated young people set to live fuller more satisfying lives thus contributing to Uganda's economy and growth.

To offer free teaching and scholastic materials to orphans and vulnerable children in all community schools who drop out due to lack of these requirements. And this will increase on the number of literates
